The Kazakh-Russian Medical University has created a call center to provide medical care to the population and online consultations on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of common diseases in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, the call center provides medical advice on epidemiology, prevention of common diseases, diagnosis, treatment of therapeutic diseases, as well as asymptomatic and mild forms of COVID-19.
- Now the center employs 39 specialists doctors, who are ready to efficiently help patients in remote mode.
The call center will provide the population with up-to-date, epidemiological and medical information, as well as recommendations from a multidisciplinary team of experienced doctors, including infectious diseases specialists, internists, GPS, cardiologists, endocrinologist, dermatologist, ENT doctor, pulmonologist, radiologist, gastroenterologist, psychiatrist, psychologist, and child psychologist.

MOBILE MEDICAL COMPLEXES AT THE HALYK ARENA
Starting from July 1, 2020, the Kazakh-Russian Medical University provided the hospital organized on the basis of “Halyk arena” for COVID-19 patients with mobile medical complexes (PMCs) – a Diagnostic module and a mobile resuscitation unit.
The PMK is equipped with artificial lung ventilation systems, an Autonomous oxygen supply and a state-of-the-art ventilator that supports the most severe patients of all ages for transportation of severe patients and maintenance therapy. This module is also equipped with a device for performing renal and albumin dialysis procedures, which makes it possible to support patients of any level of complexity.
- The mobile diagnostic complex has a state-of-the-art medical device on Board that allows you to perform chest x-ray procedures. There is all the necessary equipment to work with COVID-19 patients and prevent the spread of this infection.
- This is currently our equipment in the clinic accepts patients successfully.
Our University also provides all the necessary technical support.

HOW IS KAZAKHSTAN FIGHTING COVID-19?

“At the moment I work in the multidisciplinary center named after prof.Kh.Zh.makazhanov, Karaganda. In the intensive care unit, where patients with covid-19, as well as severe pneumonia, are lying. We work for 8 hours, in a protective suit, in which nothing can be done at all, except to treat people.

Today we will share with You the opinion of our Intern student, which has developed during the work during the pandemic:
“Hello everyone
My name is Rustam, I am a student of the 7th year of internship. It is no secret that with the beginning of the emergency situation in the country related to the COVID-19 pandemic, most medical students, along with doctors, stood up to protect the health of the population in order to prevent the further spread of the virus.
I, like many concerned citizens of our country, joined the medical staff who provided 24/7 assistance to people who were in fear for their health and the health of their loved ones. Every day, looking into the eyes of people filled with anxiety, fatigue, hopelessness, who only wanted to hear two words: “You are healthy”, you understand that you are, so to speak, a “barrier” between a person and a virus.
And you are overwhelmed with emotions, both positive and negative, but you must remain cold-blooded, remain calm, because looking at you, at your actions, the person who turned to you for help must see their Savior, who will act clearly and correctly. Who will make sure that from one look and one word from you, the patient calms down and feels protected.
At such moments, you remember all the things that you have been diligently, tirelessly, for many years taught at the University. You remember all the theoretical and practical skills that the teachers put into you.
You may have thought at the time that most of them would not be useful to you, but when you come face to face with such a situation in real life, you realize that all this is not for nothing and appreciate all that your teachers and the University have done for you.
Therefore, dear students, and especially medical University applicants!
From the first days of classes, give your best 100%, remember everything that you are taught. Who knows what other challenges lie ahead? But I’m sure of one thing: with the knowledge obtained at our University, we are not afraid of anything!”

Today, we remind you once again about the main precautions to protect against a new coronavirus infection.
- Now wash your hands regularly.
Regularly treat your hands with an alcohol-based product or wash them with soap.
- This is why it is necessary?
If there is a virus on the surface of your hands, treating your hands with alcohol or washing them with soap will kill it.
- Good but keep your distance in public places.
Keep at least 1 meter away from people.
Why is this necessary? By coughing or sneezing, a person with a respiratory infection such as 2019-nCoV spreads tiny droplets containing the virus around them. If you are too close to such a person, you can get the virus by inhaling air.

COVID-2019 VIRUS: HOW TO COPE WITH STRESS DURING A PANDEMIC?

HOW IS THE KRMU FIGHTING COVID-19 DURING THE PANDEMIC?
I, Cyril tsitsorin @kirillcitsorin will briefly talk about working in the intensive care unit in the branch of the infectious diseases hospital.Zhakenova during the pandemic. In the beginning, I wanted to become a volunteer for a set of experience, but after calculating all the pros and cons, and considering that I finished only the first year, I managed to register as a nurse in
ICU (intensive care unit), where I also gained experience.⠀
At the time of writing, the situation with the level of congestion in the health care system continues to be critical. Resuscitation is a very high-risk group. Here we work in shifts: day, night, then two days off. Our Department is designed for 25 – 30 patients. It often happens that at the end of a shift,
in the intensive care unit, approximately 50% of transfers to the infectious diseases Department are made, but by the beginning of my new shift, it is filled again.
The situation in the intensive care unit is slightly different: about two transfers to the intensive care unit happen three times
however, there are exceptions to this rule.
In the intensive care unit, there is a struggle for every human life, every second here
I have to pay attention to the patient. We don’t sleep here, we don’t think about ourselves at all. We
we do our best to pay due attention to each patient. For me, this is an experience in becoming a doctor. For example, if a person refuses to eat, I try to convince him otherwise, if a person gives up and accepts death, then my task here is to change the principle of thinking of this person as much as possible, and direct him again to fight the disease. In intensive care
there is no room for doubt. You need to know each of your actions 2 steps ahead and
all sorts of complications. The situation can change in seconds.
Everyone in the team should clearly know how to prepare the resuscitation area and
proceed with immediate actions.
Before entering the “dirty” zone, you must wear a PPE (we are talking about overalls) or
Pchk type 1 (anti-plague suit).
We all prefer the second option than the usual jumpsuit. Why? Sweating, you can easily catch a cold and get seriously ill. By the way, putting on a jumpsuit is much faster than, pchk, so if
if you want to quickly enter the “dirty” zone, then we put it on.
The hospital has no problems with PPE, medications, or medical equipment. There are all conditions for the protection of medical staff.
Concerned citizens send water, sometimes food, to the hospital for medical workers. It is nice to see how the population of the Republic has United in this difficult time.

During a pandemic, all health workers living in hotels or hotels, so as not to bring infection to their families. The state pays for the hotel, three meals a day, and travel to the place of work. To be more precise, a separate bus is allocated for the ICU.

The MMC for transporting critically ill patients and providing supportive therapy is equipped with: artificial lung ventilation systems, an autonomous oxygen supply and a state-of-the-art ventilator that allows supporting the most severe patients of all ages. Also, this module is equipped with a device for carrying out the procedure of renal and albumin dialysis, which makes it possible to support patients of any level of complexity.
The mobile diagnostic complex has on board a modern RG installation that allows the procedure of chest x-ray. All the necessary equipment is available to work with patients with COVID-19 and not to spread this infection.
At the moment, our equipment at the clinic is successfully receiving patients. Also, our university provides all the necessary technical support.
EMPLOYEES OF THE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE DEGDAR FOUNDATION TRAIN ALMATY DOCTORS
In an emergency, doctors of the Kazakh-Russian medical University decided to support their colleagues who are fighting a dangerous infection day And night. Hot meals and even desserts are prepared for them. More than 300 containers with meals are sent to Almaty hospitals per day alone. And the necessary products are purchased with the support of the Degdar humanitarian Fund.

Our University is helping diagnostic and humanitarian assistance to the people in this difficult period we do not forget about humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations.
Throughout the entire emergency in Kazakhstan, the team of the Kazakh-Russian medical University, together with the Degdar charitable Foundation, provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable segments of The population: orphanages and nursing homes. For 1 week, our team was engaged in the collection and delivery of humanitarian aid.⠀

97 senior students, namely, interns and residents of our University daily go around 11 substations located in different parts of the city of Almaty, providing emergency assistance. They receive patients in clinics, go to the emergency room and are on duty sleepless nights.
“We understand what a difficult time has come for our country and the world as a whole. Each of us, without hesitation, goes to his duty, and silently performs his duty.”- commented our students.⠀
