DEPARTMENT OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE AND CLINICAL WORK
Professional practice is focused on consolidating the theoretical knowledge gained in the process of training in a higher educational institution, the acquisition of practical skills and competencies.
The main types of professional practice of university students in the specialties 5В130100 “General medicine”, 5В130200 “Dentistry”, 5В110300 “pharmacy”, 5В110100 “Nursing”, 5В110200 “public healthcare” are: academic training, field internship, work experience internship, pre-graduation practical training.

RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF TRAINEES
- Apply for guidance to the head and the administration of the practice base on emerging issues;
- l attend public meetings in consultation with the head of practice;
- l if necessary, address a practice specialist on issues of changing the content, regime and terms of practice;
- l Offer a proposal on improving the organization of practice.
TRAINEES DURING PRACTICE MUST:
- l fully perform tasks identified by the program of practice;
- l Comply with internal rules of the organization;
- l be responsible for the performed work and its results;
- l keep a diary-report of practice, record all types of performed work, the results of observations and their analysis;
- l timely submit to the department reporting documents (diary report, review or characteristic, quantitative account of the implementation of practical skills) certified by signatures, seals from the organization;
- l Comply with the deadlines for completing assignments on the practice program, timely report;
- l work out the program of practice at other times in case of illness or other objective reasons that did not allow to enter the practice on time;
- l to study and keep the rules of labor protection, safety measures and workplace sanitation.
Settings
The Department of Professional Practice and Clinical Work concluded agreements on joint cooperation with 85 clinical bases of the city, region, districts, lasting from 1 year to 3 years, depending on the contingent of students (students, residents).
The following table provides a list of settings. The list of settings (clinical bases) is reviewed annually taking into account the needs of training in the specialties, conducting academic training and work experience internship by sought-after faculty staff. Students are admitted to the clinic upon registration of the health book. The degree of readiness of the settings is determined at the beginning of the academic year by the head of the clinic and course.
