The Educational and Methodological Center (here in after referred to as the EMC, center) is a structural subdivision of the Non-Governmental Educational Institution «Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University» (hereinafter referred to as KazRus Medical University, university), directly subordinate to the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

Goals and Objectives
The main goals and objectives of the center are as follows:
- Educational, methodological, regulatory, organizational, and advisory support and facilitation of the educational process and educational activities of the university.
- Organization and oversight of the educational and methodological activities of the university’s departments.
- Study, adaptation, and integration of advanced international pedagogical experience in the field of medical education into the educational process.
Job Responsibilities: The job responsibilities include:
- Adhering to the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Following the university’s internal regulations.
- Coordinating the work of the Teacher’s School.
- Coordinating the work of the Academic Council of the university.
- Developing document templates within the scope of the center’s responsibilities.
- Monitoring the creation of orders related to the composition of the Attestation Commission (hereinafter referred to as AC) and the State Examination Commission (hereinafter referred to as SEC) for the discipline “History of Kazakhstan.
- Coordinate the formation and provision of information, analytical references, and reports in response to requests from external organizations on methodological issues (National Methodological Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc.).
- Organize the updating of applicable regulatory acts related to academic activities.
- Provide advisory assistance to the teaching staff of the faculty on educational and methodological support and the organization of the educational process.
- Monitor the provision of necessary materials related to the center’s work through electronic communication to the Structural Unit.
- Participate in conducting internal audits.
- Attend educational sessions for bachelor’s, internship, residency, master’s, and doctoral programs.
- Develop forms of educational and methodological documentation.
- Control the educational and methodological work of departments.
- Develop instructions for the preparation of educational programs.
- Coordinate activities related to the development, approval, and updating of Educational Programs, as well as the collection of expert opinions.
- Coordinate work related to the development, expert evaluation, and preparation for approval of the catalog of elective disciplines within the University’s Educational Programs.
- Participate in the development of joint educational programs with partner universities in Kazakhstan and abroad.
- Coordinate activities related to the development of dual educational programs.
- Coordinate work with the plagiarism detection system.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of trilingualism in bachelor’s degree educational programs.
- Encourage employees to comply with Quality Management System requirements in the field of educational and methodological work.
- Study the experience of planning and organizing the educational process in domestic and foreign universities to develop proposals for improving the organization of the educational process.
- Develop initiatives for implementing innovative technologies into the educational process.
- Interact with the Educational and Methodological Association of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council in the field of Healthcare.
- Develop university proposals for updating regulatory documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan related to educational and methodological work upon request from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Coordinate the process of budget formation for the center, annual plans, and other plans within the center’s competence.
- Provide the University’s management with all necessary requested documents and reports.
- Participate in discussions and approval of the Regulations on the structural subdivision and Job Descriptions of center employees.

Under the direction of «Educational, methodological, regulatory, organizational, and advisory support for the educational process and educational activities of the university»:
- Coordinating the work of the Teacher’s School;
- Organizing the work of the Academic Council of the university;
- Developing documents within the center’s area of responsibility;
- Creating orders related to the composition of the Attestation Commission (hereinafter referred to as AC) and the State Examination Commission (hereinafter referred to as SEC) for the discipline: «History of Kazakhstan»;
- Forming and providing information, analytical references, and reports in response to requests from external organizations on methodological issues (National Methodological Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc.).
- Organizing the updating of applicable regulatory acts related to academic activities.
- Providing advisory assistance to the faculty and administrative personnel on educational and methodological support and the organization of the educational process.
- Ensuring the distribution of necessary materials related to the center’s work through electronic communication to the Structural Unit.
- Collecting and sending syllabi to rating agencies.
- Creating orders for the approval of diploma topics and academic supervisors for students.
- Gathering readiness statements from departments for the upcoming academic year from the deans’ offices.
- Coordinating the development, approval, and updating of study programs (Educational Programs, EPs), collecting expert opinions, and developing instructions for creating EPs.
- Coordinating efforts related to the development, review, and preparation for approval of the catalog of elective disciplines within the University’s study programs.
- Entering data on study programs for further submission of applications to the Unified Higher Education Management System Register.
- Coordinating work and conducting checks in the plagiarism detection system.
- Developing joint study programs with partner universities in Kazakhstan and foreign countries.
- Planning and implementing trilingualism in bachelor’s degree study programs.
- Coordinating the format of final assessments and professional practices.
- Developing, updating, and approving internal normative documents within the center’s scope of responsibility (regulations, rules, instructions, recommendations, methodological guidelines, etc.).
- Forming the budget of the center, annual plans, and other plans within the center’s competence.
- Providing the University’s management with all necessary requested documents and reports.
- Organizing marketing research to create a database for predicting the demand for specialists in existing and prospective fields of study.
Under the direction of «Organizing and overseeing the educational and methodological activities of the university’s departments»:
- Participating in conducting internal audits.
- Attending educational sessions for bachelor’s, internship, residency, master’s, and doctoral programs.
- Developing forms of educational and methodological documentation at the bachelor’s, internship, residency, master’s, and doctoral levels.

- Performing technical evaluation of syllabi.
- Encouraging employees to comply with Quality Management System requirements in the field of educational and methodological work.
- Under the direction of «Studying, adapting, and integrating advanced international pedagogical experience in the field of medical education at the bachelor’s, internship, residency, master’s, and doctoral levels»:
- Studying the experience of planning and organizing the educational process in domestic and foreign universities to develop proposals for improving the organization of the educational process.
- Developing initiatives for integrating innovative technologies into the educational process at the bachelor’s, internship, residency, master’s, and doctoral levels.
- Collaborating with the Educational and Methodological Association of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council in the field of Healthcare.
- Creating university proposals for updating regulatory documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan related to educational and methodological work upon requests from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the National Methodological Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
